Wengen is a beautiful alpine village in the Bernese Oberland. Wengen's old, well looked after wooden chalets give the village the charm and character of a typical mountain village. Wengen has numerous hotels and chalets with apartments (more than 5500 beds).

Getting to Wengen
The nearest airport is Bern but Geneva, Basel and Zurich airports all have train links to Wengen. The train journey is about 3 hours and involves changing at Interlaken Ost and Lauterbrunnen. From Geneva and Zurich, you also need to change at Bern.
If driving, you head to Interlaken Ost and then towards Lauterbrunnen, where the is a covered car park: Parkhaus Lauterbrunnen AG, Telephone +41 33 828 7400. You can book in advance and it would be wise to do so. If you park on the 7th level, there are trolleys and direct access to the station. If you park on a different level , there are always trolleys, lifts etc. and you exit for the train station at Level 7.
The Wengen website has a map of the location and instructions for how to get there by train or car, altough you cannot take your car all the way to Wengen, http://www.wengen.com/location.html
If you go to the DHO website www.downhillonly.com and click on "Wengen Skiing" and then on "Wengen Hotels" there is a comprehensive list of all hotels in Wengen and their ratings. During these difficult times, hotels are taking bookings and are prepared to take cancellations with no payment.
Liz Moore firstname.lastname@example.org may also be able to provide further information.
Please go to www.jungfrau.ch to take a look at the Piste maps/ ski pass prices and deals. However we are working on an AICC discounted price and will keep everyone updated.
Race Ski Hire
We have 4 excellent ski hire shops in Wengen. All 4 shops are in the Dorfstrasse in Wengen, with Alpia being the closest to the station, with Ski Set and Central Sport in the middle of the high street and Mollitor at the end. All these shops will have the names of the racers in order to cross check their participation in the Championship.
